Montgomery County doesn’t just have Texas history. It helped make it. So when it came time to help bring a new community to life in the place where the Texas flag was born, we knew it deserved better than a few stars slapped on a sign. The inspiration came from the things that have always brought Texans together: dance halls. Front porches. Live music. Nature. Good food. Long walks. And longer conversations. But more than that, it came from a belief that people are hungry for places that feel real. And that’s Two Step Farm. With a name that pays homage to Texas’ rich musical heritage and its agricultural roots, Two Step Farm was built around the idea that connection isn’t an amenity. It’s the reason for the place. Every decision was guided by a simple goal: make a new community feel like it has belonged here all along. From preserving the mature pines to foregoing a generic community clubhouse for a dance hall to giving a herd of goats a permanent address. The result is a place that embraces Texas character, not caricature. One with enough personality to feel established from day one and enough authenticity to earn its place in Montgomery County. Because the best places don’t imitate local culture. They become part of it.
