The traditional, gated, golf-oriented, luxury home community is an increasingly challenged concept – particularly in saturated Florida markets. Yet, when Kitson & Partners became the fourth owner of the distressed Tuscany Reserve community in Naples, the developer believed that there was an opportunity to evolve the brand – and connect with an emerging attitude in the marketplace based on a more relaxed and contemporary idea of luxury. Their idea replaced the stuffy, old-fashioned notion of the club with a refreshingly “new-fashioned” concept of health and well-being and social vitality. And they introduced an all-new range of home designs as well. To commemorate this shift in identity, we even changed the name – from the pseudo-Italianate and baggage-laden Tuscany Reserve to the refreshingly new Talis Park. The result has been a remarkable resurgence of interest and activity. New homes are under construction and sales are at an all-time high. This once-stalled community is again full of life.
